Fanfare for a Dignified Occasion

by Arthur Bliss (1891–1975)
Programme note
~60 words · n.rtf · 69 words

Sir Arthur Bliss wrote literally dozens of fanfares - most of them, not surprisingly, during the last 22 years of his life, when he was Master of the Queen’s Musick. He did, however, write an unlikely sounding Fanfare for a Political Address in 1921 and Fanfare for a Dignified Occasion followed, after Fanfare for Heroes and Dominion Greetings, 17 years later.
